Xserve. Apple is getting into the rackmount server market today. 1 unit space OSX servers. Pretty cool stuff, although we just bought a bunch of Dells at work. Bummer. I think Apple is smart for getting into this. The remote maintenance tools look interesting. Doc Searls has more info from the announcement.

Redesign. Wired has redesigned the magazine, and at first glance I'm liking it. Visually it's not all that different -- in fact they seem to have brought back some of the flourescent colors from the old days (not quite as shocking though). Editorially however, the meat of the magazine is more like the front of recent issues -- quick bits on technology, music, books and stuff. My favorite parts. I'm hoping they stick with it.

It baffles me why a magazine like Wired has (one of) the crappiest web sites.
